Armand Swenson was building race guns and improving 45's back in the 50's and 60's. If I am not mistaken he invented the Ambidextrous Safety. He was also into many other improvements. He could build a 45 that was smoother than greased ball bearings on glass and functioned flawlessly. His work was highly sought after by us folks that participated in the Southeast Asia War Games.
