A friend cast the bullets, and uses me as a tester. He pours them in two stages. The .30-30 cases work well as the neck is plenty long to keep the GC in the neck. The .30-06 neck isn't as long which is one reason I think the .30-30 is a better choice for cast. The velosity's reached with the .30-30 get you all the speed you need with cast bullets.
The NEF single shot also allows for a longer seating length.
