If it were me I would do a 6mmAI for the simple reason that in my mind it is the most bang for your buck. You get a longer, narrower case that is more efficient. Plus you could squeeze a bit more from it. Now going of what you stated for it uses use a 26"brl with a 1in10 twist and for hunting deer I would use either the Barnes or the Swift Scirooco bullets at 90grs. With these bullets you are prepared for everthing from 100 to 5 or 600yrds. They have a high BC for there wieght and will reach out and touch and em also they are a well constructed bullet that will stay together at closer rangers even at high velocity. I also have used the Barnes Varminator bullets withn great success out of my 22-250 they just are flat ass bad on praire dogs! Just a thought
