Yeah, Chester in Gunsmoke was played by Dennis Weaver...
I kinda think there was someone before him, though, but I can't remember who.... IIRC, Burt Reynolds was in Gunsmoke for a year or so, too.  Burma Shave signs were the entertainment for many childhood car trips. Sorry to see those go....
