			Dear Critch,

The barrel is attached to the receiver by a big nut on a stem. Take the rifle apart and you`ll see the nut. It really needs a special spanner to remove but it can be done with a modified Crescent wrench. After removing the nut the barrel just slides off the receiver. In replacing!! Be sure the nut is VERY tight. This is the headspace remember? I just did a rebore/barrel job for a customer from 30-06 to 338-06. Nice rifle for elk etc. Aloha, Mark |
