Types of tree stands make any difference?

If I owned the land I was hunting on I would certainly have a few well placed ladder stands. I would be able to choose locations that can offer some concealment.
Since I don't own the land, and often hunt in areas in which the trees offer little cover, height is my best advantage. In this case I find climbers to work best.
