It's nonsense to say that the Hornet is affected because of the size of the cartridge. The only effect might be on the flying bullet - and that has nothing whatever to do with what launched it.
The only possible exception would be the humidity present when the round was loaded. High or low humidity can have a slight effect on powder, but if the assembled round is anywhere near sealed, the humidity at the time of firing would be moot until the bullet cleared the barrel.
