TSadler........Hello!

First off, walking on a treadmill is only 70% as efficient as walking on your farm ground, it is better to walk natural over ground because it involves more energy to do so. You do not have to walk as fast to attain the same heart rate. You also burn more calories too.

I always try to get to the high country for an elk hunt, at least 4 days before the hunt. It helps me become acclumated to the thin air. However, even then it is tuff going for the first couple of days. One needs to drink lots of water, even if they are NOT thirsty.
