Viva Las Vegas - It would be a great place to visit, but would I want to live there?

I'm trying to get a high school job within driving distance from the morally corrosive city that I want to live in

You know - make a fool out of yourself friday nights and all day saturday and no kids recognizes you

I don't gamble so it's not a problem. I do close down every bar or fall over trying.
Is Reno or Vegas very clean if I were to live there in the city?
