huntin land

I know very little about the Tensleep-Worland area other than the access is being eaten up by hi dollar buyers there.

The problem with the accessable public lands is the heavy amount of hunting pressure they receive from both resident and non-resident hunters who won't or can't pay the trespass fees to cross over or hunt private lands. Most ranchers/land owners within Wyoming are taking the Texas lead and outfitting their own land (includind the public leased lands) or hiring commercial outfitters to handle the hunters.

Generally, the harder the access the less walk- in hunting is done.

Look on topo maps to find deep canyons, gorges, high plateaus, badlands and rough country and you'll find lonely deer.
Do you have your apps in yet?
It's always best to have an area in mind/reconned prior to applying.

BTW, the biggest deer in wyoming are found around Alpine, WY in the rough grounds.
