The fame injection immunizes them against reality. The side effects are loss of responsibility and sense.
They seem to be permanent conditions, and humanity does not return. Only rarely is a person immune to the effects of the fame injection. Among the few examples have been Neil Armstrong, Sgt York and General Norm Swarzkopf.
