How about a little perspective here.
1980. Gas was $1 a gallon. A candy bar was $.25 and a coke out of a machine was $.25. A pay telephone call was $.10. 2005. A candy bar is $.69. A coke in a machine is $.75-$1.00 and a pay phone call is $.50. According to that... Gas Should be $2.50-$3.00 a gallon. Why SHOULD gasoline be immune to the SAME INFLATION that affects everything else? Gas prices have been artificially LOW for 2 decades. They are just now evening out, and people are in a tizzy. Plus... $.75/gal of the cost of gasoline is TAXES! Get a grip people! Jabba
