Yakima Racks are fine quality I have 2 sets, you can carry anything with the accesories.
Go here http://www.yakima.com/home.html Choose a rack , put in your make year of auto and it will pick the right one. Check out the rack basics section also.

I don't know but I've been told it's hard to swim with the weight of gold. On the other hand I have heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead.
