My introduction to journalistic mendacity was back in about the year 3, when I was in college.
It was spring. The grass was green. Evenings were warm and pleasant. So we had a water balloon fight, thoroughly drenching each other, and, in general having a harmless, fun frolic. A couple of knuckleheads decided to throw rocks, but they were quickly run off. Headlines the next morning: 800 rock throwing, jeering students rioted last night at BYU.
