The 6-250 is a popular round among the long range shooters like high power and others. They have trouble with the .243 burning out barrels too fast, so they came up with the 6-250, which has about the right bore to powder capacity, without a lot of recoil, and still be supersonic with heavy match bullets at a 1000 yards.
