Good advice Skeet. 9 out of 10 rimfires I work on just need some cleaning and lube.
I use cheap brake cleaner in spray form, from Wal-Mart, after I take the gun apart, alternately spray and use toothbrush to get the crud off. Then compressed air to get at the hard to reach placed like inside of bolt. The lube lightly with a quality gun lube. Keep the spray off the stock it may react with finish.
