My 4 year old son, woke up this morning and explained that he'd been thinking about hunting all night and that ,"he thought he'd come up with a good idea"
With Holloween right around the corner, I can see where his costume idea comes from. He explained that if I took him deer hunting this year that he would dress up like a deer and lay in the grass. Then, when other deers see him, they will want to make him their friend. When they come over to say hello (he grunts two times - which I guess translates into hello in deer language), then you can shoot that big old buck. So I'm sitting there blown away with the thought process of a 4-year-old, and wondering why in the heck I haven't thought about that before. Aren't kids great? Can't wait til he's my full time hunting buddy. One thing is so puzzling to him though, he just can't understand why I dress like a tree without any leaves. He always thinks I should add some leaves because everyone knows deer will recognize that I'm the only tree in the woods without leaves. Funny stuff. |
