Cherrywood stock set on the M1

I got a Garand from DCM in the early 1980s that has a perfect cherry wood stock. I got a P-17 Eddystone in the 1960s that also had a cherry wood stock.


I had this stock custom made by Wenig's. Cherry was not issued on regular M1's. Birch and walnut was. I am not doubting you have cherry, but are you sure?
