Campers and backpackers have been using lights that use a headstrap for years. There are many makes and models available in a wide range of prices.
Some use LED's and some use conventional bulbs.. and there are different battery set ups, too. A quick look in any camping supply store will turn up several models. You can also get a strap that goes around your head and holds a Mini Maglite.
