Whats a good brand of Satin Polyurethane to finish a Laminated Stock ?

Roy, If by unfinished you mean bare wood, I recommend Tru-Oil. If you are going to refinish a stock the most important thing is to take your time. The things that you don't see is what makes a stock look great. Sand until you think you're done and then sand some more. Whisk the stock each time. My thinking is, why make a stock that looks at good as factory when I can make one look a 100 times better. Put 6 or more coats on and you'll be impressed. Be patience. This ain't a weekend project. Let it dry 24hrs between coats. As far as using poly over Tru-Oil, don't waste your time unless you plan on beating your guns to death. Tru-Oil is plenty of protection for normal use.

I have a single shot piece of junk Stevens shotgun I refinished. It looks like a million bucks because of the finish on the stock.
