Out of the box is kind of a relative phrase garnered by the previous posts. Personally, I don't even bother taking a gun(with adjustable triggers) to the range without lightening up the trigger. Be it my Savage Accutrigger (1.5#), Rem 700s (2- 2 1/2#), Weatherby Vanguard (2 1/2) or M70 (2 1/2 - 2 3/4#).
My Ruger VT2 has the 2 stage trigger in it which is non- adjustable has shot well depending on bullets and loads. All in all, given the considerable amount of variables involved and I had 2 minutes to grab one of my guns and use a box of factory ammo that I picked up at Wally world to shoot coyote. The Savage would be my choice as the one that has the most tolerance to shoot almost any ammo well.
