What a coincidence! If all goes well, I hope to make it an annual (and longer) trip. You ARE right about the elk, maybe next year. As far as rifle and rangefinder go, I'm all set. I intend to re-sight in (and practice) at 300 yards, as I cannot locate a 400 yard range nearby. I really hadn't given thought to a bipod, but I will now. As far as other equipment, I was planning to go back to wool outerwear anyway. What worries me is footgear. The swampers I wear here (that's Yoopanese for rubber boots) just aren't going to be suitable, especially If I'm going to be walking a lot in mountainous terrain. For binocs, I've got decent 8-power. What else?
