Glad you managed to finish it. Been there. There are some who wouldn't have made the effort.

Stories like that are the reason I have a history on this site of arguing against small rounds like the .17's or especially rimfires for use on coyotes. Pound for pound I think they may be the toughest animals I ever hunt.

I have often said that it's a good thing they don't weigh 300 pounds, or they would be the most terrifying thing in North America.
