I mostly listen to various forms of metal (death, goth, black, hardcore, mathcore, screamo, thrash, power, shred, progressive, etc). Tops on my list would be bands like Opeth, Lamb Of God, Shadows Fall, Nevermore, Metallica, Slayer, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Turbid North, Recca and Murder Is Justice.
Alot of progressive shred and instrumental like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio, Eric Johnson and the like.
I do get into some good old classic hard rock ala Ted Nugent, Foghat, AC/DC, Rush plus some acid rock like Pink Floyd.
