I used a scrapper for quite a while. I could be wrong, but think it was called a Dewey Crocagator. You simply twirled it in the pocket to scrape the crud out. Unfortunately my primer pockets seemed to get larger over time, and I always felt that the scraping just might have been the reason why, so I ceased using it. Now I simply swab the pocket with a Q-tip. That removes anything loose in the primer pocket and I guess that'll have to be enough for now. Best wishes.
