I guided out of the main lodge. They also have a smaller lodge, Warburton Bay, at the west end of the lake. Yes the manes will be good and white stretching back over the shoulders.....you will be pleased with their appearance.

Take a pair of neoprene gloves for out in the boat in rough weather and a good rain suit, or water proof bibs and coat for the same reason. I have been out in weather where the spray is freezing on you as you head back to camp. A pair of ski goggles are handy to wear in rough weather as well.

May want to consider a Kolpin gunboot for your rifle while traveling in the boat.

I would bring my own spotting scope if you have a good one, many of the Dene guides do not have one.

Spend the few bucks and get a wolf tag and a wolverine tag, just incase. A number of times I have had hunters who didn't buy those tags have opportunities for these trophies and they were kicking themselves in the ass afterwards.

The fishing can still be good. I'd concentrate on the caribou first and then if you have time left you can fish. There is some great fishing for grayling at the mouth of the Snake River and the river from Mackay to Lake of the Enemy. Great lake trout fishing and they are in fairly shallow water at that time. If Gary has some tackle available I would just use theirs as fishing gear is just more excess baggage. Five of Diamonds and Wolverine spoons are good for the lakers. Flies with glass bead eyes and small mepps are good for grayling.

Be prepared to lose one or maybe two days due to bad weather, but you might also be lucky and have no problems. Don't worry you will get a crack at a big bull.
