It used to be legal to hunt foxes at night in TN. Before deer poachers ruined it. Now we have to hunt only during daylight hours and with a mouth call. Point is, our main rifle was the Remington 5mm. One shot in the chest and "dead fox." No exit, no pelt damage. I haven't hunted dogz yet, but most likely I would move up to the 20 grain bullet. No problem for me with tree rats and hole hogs. They die real good. 10-4 on dogz. They're shy about anyone takin' their picture, especially if that long stick with the little hole it is sticking out from under the lens. But one of the guys at our local Bass Pro takes dogz on a regular basis with his 17hmr. Usually gets 1-2 every trip. Good hunting, grayghost
