Actually I buy a good deal of my gear from our advertisers. I always have a direct line to them in case of any problems, and I have seen how good most of their products are. I have been sent several pieces to test in the past and have always been straight forward and honest with my reviews be it good, bad or indifferent (A few of which I was sent because I didn't care for a product I had seen in a brick and mortar store and actually had to eat a little crow on them once I tested them ).

Second I buy from alot of online sources. Cabelas, Midwayusa, etc if our sponsors don't have the item (I will pay a few dollars more to support our sponsors. After all I practically live on this board at work).

Third I buy from a brick an mortar store. The reason it is third is actually time and convience. There are not alot of brick and mortar stores close to where I live or work. I prefere a brick and mortar store because I get to look at things I might not otherwise, AND I get to handle the product BEFORE purchasing, but in many cases it just is NOT possible to shop at one.

Like many on here I also value the opinions of the other hunters here, particularly those who have been here a long time and I have come to know. If they tell me a product is a good one, you can bet I will look into it FIRST.

BTW welcome aboard.

Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. - Ecclesiastes 8:15 KJV

"The gun has been called the great equalizer, meaning that a small person with a gun is equal to a large person, but it is a great equalizer in another way, too. It insures that the people are the equal of their government whenever that government forgets that it is servant and not master of the governed." - 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan 1911-2004
