fast twist 22-250

Haven`t seen your post lately, have I just been missing them or have you been gone?
I`m getting a Savage rebarreled now. I putting on a .22 cal. on the 6mm case. It will have a 1 in 9 twist and the Smith assures me that it will stablize 80 gn. bullets. He also assures me that it will push the 80 gn. bullets at 3,500 fps. That will give it 1/2 the wind drift of the .22-250 with 55 gn. bullets pushed to the max. I`ve got a friend that shoots a .22-284 and he`s pushing the 80 gn. Serrias at 3,500 and that`s what I was going to get, but the smith talked me into the 6mm case. I`m also getting a target trigger put in it. Should pick it up in Dec.
