Old Scout,

The SR M1911 Karabiner is a fine arm. I have shot lots of cast bullets out of mine. I like the Lyman #311467 (about 173 grains) the best. My powders and charges are as follows:

14 grains Unique
11 grains of 700X
19 grains of 2400.

In three of my Karbines, the 14 grains of Unique and the 311467 loaded to 76mm overall length shoots to point of aim at 100 yards with the battle sight (rear sight at lowest setting) and it prints +2.5 inches at 50 yards. On a B-8 target at 50 yards, that would be in the X-ring. Best of luck.
