Well it is certainly disappointing that this concerned mother has not taken the time to see to the son she so tragically lost. Her 15 minutes are over and I am sure that there will be some one else jumping up to take her place.
I first had my eyes opened when I traveled to Argentina in 1981 and was never so glad to get back to the U.S. as I was when we returned to Miami. I thank God every day for the fact that I was born in this country and that we have fine young men and women who put themselves in harms way to make this country the greatest on earth. If you dont truly believe that then travel to Chile, Brazil, Mauritania Egypt and I could go on and on.
While I am not fond of the term ugly American that is used in almost all parts of the world to describe American tourists I understand it. The simple fact is that there is no place like it and we can not help but be disappointed when we visit another country as they can not measure up.
She can thank the same government that she is so critical of for the fact that she can be so critical. In 90 % of the places I have been in she would have been beaten and jailed before she finished her first sentence.
