Season is two weeks away and I'm ready!
I've been shooting non-stop every day since I purchased it. I'm pretty solid out to 30 yards and I'm shooting consistant 4 or so inch groups at 20 yards. I've managed to only smash two arrows from close shots. I've built a couple arrows dedicated to practice during season to keep in the groove of things. I plan on firing a few rounds before my evening hunts. Now the decision and I'm on the fence about this one. How picky should I be? Ha ha. Last year I passed up I believe 14 legal bucks before I killed my bruiser. I'm not sure how picky I'll be to tell you the truth. I just wanna kill something with this rig! I might smack a doe on day one to get a kill under my belt and hold out for a nice buck...or if a descent 8 point comes within range, I may shoot him. I put on my hunting closthes yesterday to make sure everything was good while shooting (I have been shooting in a t-shirt up to this point). No problems! I've noticed that Larry Jones is shooting a Gamemaster on Bowhunting TV. I've seen him whack quite a few animals with it, including some African game. Seems like this is a popular bow of choice for those that want to go a little more primative. I'm ready...I'll be filming my hunts so hopefully in a couple weeks you'll all be able to enjoy my first kill with the new bow, when I post the video.
