wood aeros safe from compounds?
yes...they are safe to shoot from wheels. but like any other bow/ arrow combination make sure you have the right spine/weight.
of course, a wooden arrow will not be as accurate as a high dollar set of carbons or aluminums but when properly matched to the bow they're quite capable. i shot wood from compounds for years, but like carbons, inspect them regularly for cracks or breaks. the single largest reason i do not shoot them as much any longer (cedar) is the cost; what used to cost less than one-hundred dollars for a hundred premium shafts now is well over the two hundred, closer to three hundred dollar mark now. there are many, many archers using wood arrows out there. a well made cedar arrow is a beautiful thing.
