A "double firing" does get one's attention!

I was shooting on a sporting clays course, and the loads weren't real heavy - only 1-1/8 oz. 12 gauge promo's. The recoil was about like firing a maximum rifled slug load -- something I don't enjoy.

Fortunately, I also had my 1905 L.C. Smith SxS in the car, and used it to finish the course. Its kind of odd that a 103 year old American shotgun functioned better than a brand new Turkish one.
