Old Militaries

Howdy Adam
Ah yes, the old turn of the century Military arms are fun. I'd like to hear how you make out with your 8 x 50R Lebel's. I have an 1886 Lebel rifle and a '16 Berthier Carbine I'm playing with. We used to reform 348W brass for thre Lebels, but that was so much work they didn't get shot much. Now that Graf has the brass back on the market it's easy to shoot these interesting rifles.
Say what you will about the French, when I attach the bayonet to my Lebel, the tip is above my eye level ( I'm 6'4" ), and the whole afair must weigh cose to 10 lbs, I have a new respect for the Foreign Legion!!
I am campaigning a Lebel '86 Rifle and a Lebel '92 revolver in Wild Bunch matchs. Need to get me a Kepi to wear. I wear a Pith helmet with my Ross 05/Enfield #1/Webley Mk-VI, and have one of those Black Bear Shakos to go with the Nagants. Still need a Picklehoabe also!

Anybody ever shoot one of these Italian 11mm Bodello revolvers?? Maybe that should be Bordello!!

Cheers
Old Scout
