I "Grew-up" in Detroit, in the late 60's - early 70's.....My grand parents helped build the city. My Mom's Mom, was an organist at one of the Churches....She played 5-6 masses a day, 5 days a week, and 3 each day on the weekends.....For 41 years!

Detroit is "Lost".
I have been all around this country, and I've seen the slums in several 2nd - 3rd world countries. NOTHING compares to the "Hoods" of Detroit.

I know many L.E.O.s (Law Enforcement Officers) both(out of state) federal, and some local......Many times I've taken them on a "Tour" of my old stomping grounds......Most of them wouldn't take the "Tour" with me again.

It's a shame. So much history, so many important things.....wonderful things, happened there.

Now it is just a deserted war zone. Many things are gone, or just about gone.

Sad.
