It sure do look good..But if it were me..I'd put two tops like the one you have on it. It'll last longer and the second I would use plywood. I also have a bench like yours except mine is a Kenendy with 1 1/2 inch maple top. The darn thing is compact and works just fine for most of what you need to do. I also have another bench that was built from the NRMA plans you can buy. It is very heavy and is what I use for doing my bullet swaging. I bought it from a fellow at a yard sale last year for 40 bucks..I also bought (quite) a few guns from him. My Kennedy doesn't have the back on it like yours does.. I'm jealous.
 It is also much much cleaner than any of mine. I'm very jealous Now go make lots of bullets...now I'll go clean my benches off. I really need to...Then I can go make bullets too.BTW did ya have to put the whole thing together? Had to put my Kennedy loading bench together..What a pain!!
