I did save it the wife talked him into turning it in last nite he needed 6 and he was short.
The only reasen he has only taken 2 deer is he has only been hunting or 2 years mich just started letting a 12 year old hunt deer with a gun. He made it just under the wire the law was 12 year old could hunt deer with a bow but had to wait till 14 to hunt deer with a gun. My oldest son started at 14 becouse he had no desire to bow hunt. I do think the earlyer you can let them hunt the better the drive to hunt in my younger son is unreal compared to the older one. I wish i could have let my older son gun hunt for deer at 12 just to compare. |

It doesn't make any difference. My brothers and I all started hunting at the same time, and I was the oldest. So, the others started hunting at a younger age. I am the only one with the hunting drive 30+ years later. The others really don't care for it. They don't care too much for shooting either. Meanwhile, I dream of both.

Kind of the same thing on this end = with me being the only child, Dad serving in WWII with a silver star and not wanting to kill anything. Our rural mail carrier took me under his wing and I learned woodmanship and hunting. Anyway enough of this rambling with my point being encourage any thing that envolves the outdoors to your kids. He did a very fine job and it sounds like it came from the heart.
