I would guess they would be easier to take with a .22 than say a pheasant or grouse.

Good luck with that! If you can take one and take it with a .22, you are off on your way to sniper school, as they have very keen eyesight and are one of the smartest birds on the planet!

I have seen some good recipes online for crow breasts.

....well, I guess there are some folks out there that will try anything ONCE! After having seen some of the things crows eat, I think I'll pass!
