Some folks don't look at the Japanese made O/Us because of WW2. They made guns for Winchester and Browning. I have a Japanese made Charles Daly in 20 gauge that is a very fine gun. Got it from my brother and haven't had a problem with it in oever 20 years.
They may cost a bit more than European made O/Us, but they seem to be a better quality item.

I guess I must be one of the "some folks" you were talking about as I refuse to buy any of their autos for the same reason. However I had two Belgian-made A-5 shotguns and whenever I had the opportunity to compare them to their Jap counterparts I could not see where they were inferior in any way.
