ok so what has happened is that I got my Bear Shadow back from my brother (65lb, I didn't remember it being that danged heavy) and when my buddy gets back in town I am buying his black bear with all the bells and whistles to give to my brother.

I sure have missed this bow of mine. Shot it last night and within half a dozen arrows started grouping up at 20 yards. I shoot what used to be classified as Adult Compound Unaided. IE I don't use sights, releases, er squat. Just me my fingers, a nock and a arrow.

HeHeHeHe!

Lions, Tigers and Bears oh my.

Well oh Son of mine the Hoyt shoots better than Me of course. The new sight looks good on this 1985? + era bow and it will put the arrows in there if I do my part, and these days I need all the help I can get.

Dose a bow that's more than 15-20 years old count as a traditional compound? Just a weird thought made me think of that one.

This is the style of compound bow that I first fell in love with. The most important thing is it really looks like a bow. Not to large of a riser and a little bit longer limbs. You know it looks like a bow, not something out of a sifi movie.

I know the new compound bows are very accurate, they shoot real fast. Faster than at anytime in history. There are several that I might consider someday when the time and money is right. They just don't look like the bows I remember.

What can I say, I'm getting old.

The reason I'm responding to this like I am is, I'm also getting back into archery (I blame GoodOlBoy, hehehehe, its all his fault, at least that's what I keep telling my wife.). I've always owned & shot recurve bows or longbows. I've shot various compound bows over the years but this is my first venture in owning a compound of my very own, and I think I'm ruint. What I mean is, I like it, I like it.
