I saw this a while back. it was proposes last year under one number and sponsored by the dude who wrote. Never went anywhere.
This year he tried again and again, no one else would sposor the bill with him.
The bill as I understood it had to do with you listing all your firearms on your income tax form and you would pay a tax of $50 per firearm. Never did figure out if it was a one time deal like the transfer tax on full autos and the like of if you would be stuck for the tax every year.
hat's OK. The Senate just confirmed Cass Sunstein as the new regulatory chief or what ever the hell this title is. This guy has to go yesterday. He has the power to alter federal regulations that he feels do not meet certain, IE his standard and either make them more or less strict, as he sees fit and answers only to Obama the Usurper. he has publicly stated that he wants to OUTLAW ALL HUNTING and would like to see all personally owned firearm confiscated. His words BTW. This guy is dangerous to our way of life.
We now have an anti-gun President, an anti-gun Attorney-General and an anit-gun/hunting regulatory "czar" with the power to alter regulations to whatever he sees fit. Does back door gun control and confiscation mean anything to you?
What hurts is 3 Democrats refused to confirm him, but 6 Republicans including RINO Orrin Hatch voted to confirm the SOB. Guess at least 3 Democrats had their head screwed on straight. Dunno what we can do to counteract his stuff when he tries to push it through, but we'll have to do something.
