Skeet,
I read this a bit different as a farm owner. This guy might have been a hot head, very true, but he confronted trespassers on his property illegaly. It really does not make any difference what they were doing, in that aspect, they were on the man's property unlawfuly. I imagine he ordered them off the place and they refused to go, otherwise there would be no gun fight. By the by, trespassing on argriclutural land in Florida with a firearm is a felony and the land owner may arrest and detain on premisis. Of course no land owner wants to have persons return to damage the property either, so an order to leave is usually good enough. Best, Ed
