My P-38s like Winchester 115 grain Silvertips best followed by 147 grain WW Deep Penetrator subsonics.

The P-38 I used to have would digest every type of hollow point without a hiccup.....save one: I bought some 100 grain S&W Hollow points at a gun show and they would occasionally jam, as would any handload that I seated the bullet in too deeply......seems like correct overall length is more important than bullet type, at least in my gun.

My hipower really likes those 115 grain winchesters too.
