Well, I have 1911s by Para, Colt, Springfield, Armscor and Taurus. I like them all, for the money the Taurus is the most reasonable priced. Comes with a lot of bells and whistles, mine is a Model PT 1911. The sights are only windage adjustable Heinie Straight Eights which I really like. The Armscor I have is only the receiver on which I have a Ciener Platinum Cup .22 rf conversion mounted. There are a lot of bare bones 1911s made that don't cost an arm an leg like, Chas. Daly, Rock Island, Armscor etc, but would require you to change the sights. One thing nice about the Taurus is that the front sight is dovetailed in, makes changeing sights a lots easier.
