I have one too

I also have a hornet in the 77/22H. It is a stainless one but the scope is a cheapy 4x12 Simmons. It shoots sooo good I hate to take it off and put the exact same scope as yours(except in Silver). It shoots great with the 35 V max but the 40's shoot much much better. It is an honest 200 yd gun on a fairly calm day.
As for the #1...mine is a 22-250 B model. Shoots ok with 3 shots as your shows. 5 and they start stringing a bit. I've even worked on it a bit. The forend is an issue with all of them. My 22-250 has an older Redfield 4x12 on it. Nice scope and plenty of magnification for me. It is an honest 350 yd PD rifle when I do things right. Best coyote was a bit past 425. DRT. I don't get too many coyotes with my rifles.. 31 with handguns this year and 4 with my 12 ga..at night with some of the 4 buck I have. They've quit comin up close to the house even at night

my 220 does start to string after a few more rds but itl still keep them all inside 1.5"s and smaller even after 20rds or so through a barrel to hot to touch. i know this because one day i just started shooting and didnt stop. had to turn my scope down to see through the heat comeing off the barrel.

heres a coyote my daughter and i called in a few weeks ago. called it to about 50yds she was so excited so was i, usualy she isnt quite enough and they dont ever come in this close.
i spotted it from far enough out that i felt comfortable whispering to her and point out the coyote as it was comeing.
