I had the hat and the tennis shou's with suede fringe around them to be moccasins, I wish I still had toy rifle.

I had all that stuff too plus a plate and mug set (that I still have stuffed away in the attic).

Well, I'm not quite that old....grew up in the 60's on the Daniel Boone TV show, and saw him as Davy Crockett on Disney reruns and Wonderful World of Disney (Sunday nights, 7 PM...last event of the weekend before we started school on Monday morning!

I didn't have the coonskin cap or rifle until much later....found 'em on a family trip to TN.

...and when I was a kid playing in the woodlot behind my house, I wasn't just playing Danl' Boone..I was Fess Parker being Danl' Boone!

After weeks of long hair music in class, some one brought in a Davey Crockett record.

I had to lip off and say "Finally we get to listen to some decent music."

I didn't get to listen to the record as I got sent to the principals office. I do not remember what happened there but I do not think he did anything to punish me.

It is to bad that the youth of today do not have celebrities like Fess Parker to look up to instead of the idiot stars of today that can not seem to keep out of trouble.
