I like the .22 WMR over 20 gauge best. Like you, I carry a few 3-inch #3 Buckshot in my hunting coat in case of need. I used the .22 WMR a lot in the Fall for squirrels, chucks and solids for turkey.

These guns go for a premium here in shops on the used gun racks.
