To be honest he is only 7-years-old. With some assistance he can shoot a .50 cal and gets quite upset if he can't.

I noticed a used .45 Pedersoli for sale locally that is only 44" long and weights 5.4 lb. This might be a good gun for him if I cut it down a little. I'd prefer a .32 or .36 as a squirrel snowshoe hare gun though...

I have a .36 TC Seneca that I bought about 30 years ago, I told my grandson when he is 8 he can shoot it, he is 6 now. I won some squirrel rifle shoots with it back when my eyes were younger, don't go to any now.
