..........O.k., just kidding. I usually carry my 1911 in .38 Super in the winter more than the summer, but I still like my Detective special in .38 Special +P in the winter as well as summer. Winter is about the only time I carry my CZ75; I don't think it shows during summer carry, but psycologically I have the idea that the bulk of that 17 round magazine is sticking out 2 feet off my hip.
One thing to remember: Even though this might be winter, there are many times when you will be taking off that heavy coat: in a restaurant, or while Christmas shopping in an overheated mall, for example. Keep that in mind when making your decisions, and a bulky sweatshirt doesn't hurt, either.
